Job Description - Deskside Support Engineer

Our client are seeking a skilled Deskside Support Engineer to provide exceptional IT support within their Financial Services industry. This permanent role is based in Leeds and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced technology environment based in Bournemouth.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Deskside Support Engineer are:

Provide on-site technical support to resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
Ensure timely resolution of tickets logged through the IT support system.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes and procedures.
Collaborate with the wider technology team to implement IT projects and upgrades.
Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and escalate recurring issues to relevant teams for resolution.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.Profile

A successful Deskside Support Engineer should have:

Proven experience in an IT support or similar role within the business services industry.
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
Experience in using and supporting IT ticketing systems.
Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
