Job Description - Desktop Team Lead

The Role
We are looking for a Desktop Team Lead to support the effective day-to-day operation of our Desktop Support Team.

This role is key to ensuring a high-quality end-user support service, providing technical guidance, coordination and supervisory support while driving service excellence, consistency and continuous improvement across our sites.

What you’ll be doing

Support the leadership and coordination of the Desktop Support Team, ensuring service standards are met
Plan and allocate work to engineers to maintain SLAs and service performance
Provide technical guidance and support incident, problem and escalation management
Assist with service reporting, documentation and knowledge management
Support recruitment, onboarding and development of team members
Help maintain and improve processes, policies and service standards

What we’re looking for

Strong experience in desktop support, troubleshooting and end-user computing
Confidence working with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID and endpoint management tools (e.g. Intune)
Experience using ITSM tools and managing tickets in line with SLAs
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a structured approach
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels
A calm, resilient and customer-focused mindset
