Our client, based in Alfreton, is seeking a highly competent Despatch Manager / Returns Manager to oversee and optimise all outbound despatch and returns processes. Position: Despatch Manager / Returns Manager
Location: Alfreton
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

• Management of Outbound Despatch Processes: Oversee drivers and vehicles, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all operations.
• Returns Process Oversight: Manage all aspects of returns, ensuring smooth and efficient handling.
• Compliance and Administration: Maintain adherence to company policies and legal requirements, handle administrative duties effectively.
• Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff, fostering a knowledgeable and capable team.
• Asset Management: Ensure all assets are maintained and utilised effectively.
• Monitoring Deliveries: Track and monitor deliveries to guarantee timely and accurate service.

• Shift Flexibility: Ability to work on a shift basis and cover additional shifts when necessary. Shifts are from 01:30-10:30 and 13:00-22:00.
• IT Proficiency: Must be IT savvy, with a good understanding of systems and Microsoft 365.

• A proactive decision-maker with strong management skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and provide effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a similar role within the logistics or despatch sector is highly desirable.
