📍 Location: Hull City Centre (HU2)
💰 Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts on a 3-week rotation:

Week 1: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Week 2: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Week 3: 10:00am - 6:00pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation based in HU2, Hull. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

As a Despatch Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are picked accurately and prepared for dispatch while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Order picking from floor-level pick points.
Operating lifting and handling equipment, including Power Pallet Trucks (PPT) and Hand Pallet Trucks.
Ensuring inventory accuracy through the effective use of inventory management systems.
Preparing and processing orders for dispatch.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and supporting recycling initiatives.
Working flexibly to support operational requirements and staffing levels.
Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
Carrying out any other duties within the remit of the role as requested by supervisors or managers.

Candidate Requirements

Previous warehouse, despatch, order picking, or logistics experience is desirable.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
Experience operating pallet trucks is advantageous but not essential.
