Development Accountant - Property

Fortnum Executive are partnering with a high-profile property developer to recruit a Development Accountant (Property), to be responsible for a prominent property development in Central London.

Responsibilities of this Development Accountant (Property) role will include:

• Financial ownership on projects - work closely with the development team providing insight and challenge
• Monitor and manage the financial performance of projects from initiation through completion
• Prepare, review, and maintain project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with development managers
• Track project costs and revenues, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines
• Produce accurate and timely project financial reports, including variance analysis
• Management of the relationship with banks and bank monitors, outsourced accountants, auditors, tax advisors and other professional service
• Primary point of contact with the lenders and bank fund monitor to ensure compliance with debt covenants
• Work with the development team to bring schemes through planning stages
• Ownership of project appraisal and cashflow to provide insights to the business
• Manage the drawdown of debt and equity to fund development costs
• Full responsibility for the management accounts, Balance sheet reconciliations, Cost risk analysis, KPI and management of year-end statutory accounts process
• Ensure all statutory obligations are met
• Commercial oversight of projects in step with the development team
