We’re working with a fast-paced and rapidly expanding business in the POS/POP display industry to find an experienced and practical Development Engineer to join their growing development team in Leicester.

As a Development Engineer, you’ll be responsible for turning client concepts into fully developed, cost-effective solutions that are ready for manufacture. Working closely with internal departments, you'll support projects from initial brief through to production—whether in-house or outsourced.

This is an office-based role with light physical requirements, offering the chance to be part of a collaborative, technically focused team environment.

• Develop functional, client-aligned engineering solutions

• Deliver cost-effective development strategies for both in-house and external manufacturing routes

• Conduct site surveys when required

• Collaborate with Planning, Workshop, Prototyping, and Pre-Production to align project delivery with sales forecasts and budget constraints

• Implement internal procedures and uphold company policies

• Foster a professional, honest, and team-oriented culture

• Proactively report issues and obstacles to the Head of Development to ensure seamless project flow

• Proven experience in a development engineering role (POS/POP or display industry highly desirable)

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly organised with strong time management and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools

• Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical, solution-oriented mindset

• Comfortable working independently while contributing to broader team goals

• Good numeracy and record-keeping skills
