Location: Hassocks / Burgess Hill Area
Salary: £30,000 - £37,500 + Bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Development Technician to join a growing and innovative business based in the Hassocks/Burgess Hill area. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, product development, testing, and continuous improvement within a dynamic environment.

Working closely with engineering, production, and project teams, you will play a key role in supporting the development, testing, and implementation of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the development and testing of new products and prototypes.
Conduct technical trials, evaluations, and fault-finding activities.
Support the transition of products from development through to production.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and test records.
Analyse data and provide recommendations for product improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and regulatory standards.

About You

Previous experience in a technical, engineering, development, or manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technical systems.
Relevant engineering, technical, or scientific qualification desirable but not essential.
