Your new role

• Operate collaboratively with key brokers in the region and build positive relationships to increase the flow of new business activity.
• Reviewing and underwriting of new business quotations across all products within our underwriting appetite including any queries within the SLA's of the business.
• Undertake Broker Visits and Underwriting Surgeries at Broker offices to increase brand awareness and establish contacts.
• Liaise and establish good working relations with the Technical Underwriting Team and key stakeholders.
• Regular communication with the Business Development Manager and Regional Director to develop and maintain broker relationships and strategic planning.
• Act as a referral point for underwriters within the wider team where appropriate
• Work closely and effectively with the wider underwriting team to ensure that all work is completed within SLA's and maintain broker relationships by offering a high level of customer service.
• Operate in accordance with the Underwriting License provided, utilise the Underwriting Guide and collaborate with senior colleagues.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ Years of experience as an Underwriter
• New business experience, with the ability to meet/speak with brokers weekly
• Excellent communication skills
• Team Working Good organisational skills to ensure that company processes and procedures are followed.
• Ability to work without supervision remotely Deep knowledge/ relationships with insurance brokers
• Experience in managing broker relationships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
