Devon - Team Manager - Adults Safeguarding

Team Manager required to join the Adult Safeguarding team - 3month initial contract with opportunity to extend. 37 hours a week with rates up to £41.44ph. Good transport links to the A30 A38 and M5.

Devon county Council are currently looking to appoint a Social Worker to join its Adults Safeguarding Team as an Team Manager. A team manager is required for up to 6 months to manage the team covering Ivybridge and Kingsbridge with cover stretching to the Tavistock team when required.

The role will require practice experience and knowledge of the Care Act, including assessments, reviews, and Safeguarding Concerns and Enquiries, as well as the Mental Capacity Act and assessments amongst other legislation relevant to social care.

The role will involve line management of a team including supervision, allocation of work, practice quality reviews in preparation for Practice Quality Forums to obtain funding. You will be required to work with partner agencies, liaise with citizens, providers and respond to complaints.

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager who has exceptional experience in safeguarding adults practice who can support continuous development across the service.

You will be working alongside a team of Social Care Assessors, Social Workers, Advanced Practitioners and Team Managers.

You must be autonomous and able to learn and adapt at pace to complete workload expectations.

You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
