DevOps Engineer Location: London (Hybrid working supported) Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE No Sponsorship
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced UK engineering team. In this role, you will help design, build, secure, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting a growing suite of applications. You'll work closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure reliable software delivery through robust CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and productivity.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, applying GitOps practices.
Design and provision resilient, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure on AWS.
Own environments from development through to production, ensuring operational reliability.
Monitor system performance, anticipate issues, and recommend solutions to optimize availability and performance.
Manage system lifecycle, including change and configuration management.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents to maintain high application stability.
Continuously improve platform performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven experience building AWS-based, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
Expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
Proficiency with multiple AWS services.
Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
Understanding of Linux systems and microservice architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and cost optimization best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in agile development environments.
