Job Description - Diagnostic Technician

Hatfield

Up to £35,000 OTE £40,000

  • Career Opportunity in a manufacturer owned dealership
  • Monday to Friday (1 in 2 Saturdays 8.30am - 12noon)
  • Company car scheme - up to two vehicles
  • Additional £91 per month salary uplift for MOT qualified technicians
  • Highly competitive performance bonus
  • Up to 7 % Employer Pension Contribution
  • Annual Leave - 22 days increasing to 26 with continued service, plus bank holidays

We're on the lookout for a skilled Diagnostic Technician / Master Tech / Vehicle Technician to join a friendly, professional team at a busy site in Hatfield.

The Job: Diagnostic Technician

  • As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician you will service and repair vehicles including performing basic diagnostics
  • You will perform interim, full, and major services on all types of cars
  • Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer standards and guidelines to ensure reliability and safety
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements
  • Provide expert technical advice to customers when necessary, ensuring clear and professional communication
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards, fostering trust that leads to repeat business and referrals
  • Collaborate effectively with the service reception team and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction

Job Experience: Diagnostic Technician

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
