Are you a Diesel Pump Engineer looking for a local patch role with a global pump hire company, offering a varied position split between workshop and field-based work, overtime opportunities, and excellent career progression within the specialist pumping industry?
This specialist pumping solutions provider delivers high-performance pump hire equipment and engineered fluid handling systems to the construction, mining, utilities, and industrial sectors. Supporting critical operations including dewatering, wastewater management, and flood control, they provide reliable pumping solutions trusted by contractors, infrastructure providers, and environmental operators across the UK.

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel-driven pump equipment from the workshop, while also attending customer sites across the East Midlands to support installation, commissioning and maintenance activities. You will work on a variety of mechanical systems, including diesel engines, pumps and associated equipment, with specialist training provided to develop your technical expertise.

This role would suit a Diesel Pump Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Plant Engineer or Service Engineer looking for a varied workshop and field-based role, offering overtime, a company vehicle and long-term career progression within the specialist pumping industry.
The Role:

Service, maintain and repair diesel-powered pump equipment
Workshop and field-based role covering the East Midlands
Inspect, prepare and test pump hire equipment ready for customer use
Attend customer sites to install, service and maintain pumping systems
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
Carry out servicing on diesel engines and associated components
Full training provided on specialist pump equipment
Participate in an on-call rota
Derby-based role covering the East Midlands regionThe Person:

Mechanical engineering or fitting background
Experience working on diesel engines, pumps, plant equipment or similar machinery
Confident diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
Looking to develop specialist skills within diesel pump systems
Full UK driving licence
