Diesel Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered trucks, heavy equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and be committed to maintaining high safety and performance standards.

  Diagnose, inspect, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and cooling systems.

  Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

  Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections per company and DOT standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and perform calibrations or adjustments.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and parts usage in accordance with company systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure shop safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with service managers and other technicians to prioritize repair jobs and meet deadlines.

  
  


• 
  

  Stay current with manufacturer bulletins and technical service updates.

  
  

• 
  

  High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational certification preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years of experience as a diesel technician or in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of diesel engines, DEF systems, air brakes, electrical diagnostics, and computer-based diagnostic tools.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.

  Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions.

  ASE Certifications in diesel engines or related systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with utility trucks, construction equipment, or fleet operations.

  Familiarity with Cummins, CAT, John Deere, or other industry-standard equipment.
