Digital Content Creator

Our client, a Birmingham-based social media agency, seeks a Digital Content Creator to join their team.

You will work with their content and account teams to create high-performing social content across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Editing

• Design static and carousel content using Canva (Adobe Suite knowledge beneficial)
• Edit short-form video content using CapCut or similar software for Reels, TikTok and Shorts
• Create on-brand visual assets that reflect each client's tone and objectives
• Repurpose content across different formats and platforms

Pre-Production, Production & Shooting

• Plan content shoots including storyboarding, prop lists and shot planning
• Capture high-quality content using iPhone, with occasional camera-based shoots
• Film behind-the-scenes content, tutorials, trends, product features and branded content
• Ensure proper lighting, framing and audio quality in studio or on location
• Work with their team to execute campaign concepts

Caption Writing & Scheduling

• Write engaging, brand-aligned captions for different audiences and platforms
• Schedule posts using Later, Meta Business Suite or TikTok Scheduler
• Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery

Trend Spotting & Ideation

• Monitor TikTok and Instagram trends, viral audio and creator content
• Contribute fresh ideas to team brainstorms and content plans
• Support creative development for campaigns and monthly strategies

Reporting Support

• Collect and interpret performance data including views, saves and shares
• Analyse content performance and adapt creative approach accordingly

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in content creation or social media role (agency or brand side)
• Proficiency in Canva, CapCut and platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• Confident filming and directing iPhone content
• Strong eye for framing, lighting and movement
• Excellent copywriting skills for captions and call-to-action posts
• Organised approach with ability to manage multiple client accounts
• Current knowledge of social media trends and cultural landscape
