Role Description
As a Digital Designer, you will be responsible for your projects from concept ideation to project rollouts and implementations. Using your experience in web design (UI/UX), you will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, staying organised and juggling multiple projects at one time. You will be adept at guiding and implementing all aspects of your designs, from wireframes to web development, testing and delivery, ensuring projects meet client expectations.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:
Designing independently or as part of a team, depending on each project.
Questioning and challenging briefing documents.
Deliver show-stopping and awe-inspiring design solutions against each brief you are given.
Presenting your designs with conviction and to clients with senior team support.
Acting as a creative catalyst on each project, inspiring your creative team.
Inputting strongly to each design critique and ensuring your voice is heard.
Keep up to date with design trends and eagerness to learn more.
Be proficient in implementing best practice principles.
Experience in storyboarding video for web and social.
Regularly follows the mobile-first design approach.
Liaise with and guide web developers in implementing your designs, ensuring the end product meets our high standards.
Own the execution of your workload with operational support from your line manager and the wider team.
See your designs through to completion by building successful concepts.
Develop and display a thorough knowledge of digital software required in your role.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
The Digital Designer will be expected to have the following skills:
Good knowledge of UI/UX principles for digital design.
Understanding of digital design systems, design processes and front-end implementation.
Confident using Sketch, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop (After Effects is a bonus).
Strong skills in typography, iconography, composition, colour, layout and experience with mobile-first/responsive web design.
A keen eye for detail.
Comfortable explaining your thoughts on usability, engagement and user needs, as well as presenting ideas.
Understanding of user testing and ability to analyse research to inform design.
Strong organisational and time management skills, juggling multiple projects.
