Job Details:

The main duties for Digital Marketing Apprenticeship role will consist of the following:

• Helping to develop strategies to drive quality online traffic to the company website generating sales


• Analysing results using various tools including web analytics


• Tracking conversion rates and helping to make appropriate improvements to the website


• Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns utilising a range of techniques including PPC, SEO, affiliates and display


• Working on the social media strategy for the company


• Writing appropriate copy for the website, blogs and social media to aid increased cut through in the web space


• Increasing through various techniques a strengthening organic position in key search engines


• Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness


• Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the website


• Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing


• Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data


• Reviewing and testing new technologies in digital marketing

Skills required for this apprenticeship:

• Experience using Microsoft Office products (word and Excel)


• Experience using computers


• Experience using websites


• Experience sending emails

Qualifications required:

England - ideally 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Training to be provided:

England - Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship - City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing

Apprenticeship duration:

12-14 months

Working week:

37.5 hours (Monday – Friday, 9 – 5:00)

Future prospects:

A large proportion of S.L.G Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further learning such as Higher apprenticeships.
