About the role

We're looking for an enthusiastic team member to help shape the customer experience on our website. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of DTC ecommerce, digital merchandising, and content creation. You'll be instrumental in maintaining product data, optimizing site content, and ensuring the online store reflects our brand standards.

Key responsibilities

Product Information Management 

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to eCommerce. 
• Ensure product recommendations are kept up to date
• Liaise with stakeholders and be accountable for complete and accurate data entry for all new product uploads 
• Respond to data issues reported by other teams. 

Visual Merchandising 

• Upload product assets and merchandise to drive conversion following brand guidelines.
• Support in product sequencing within categories across all pages to drive conversion rates.
• Support in the maintenance and optimisation of product attribution for product assortment.
• Ensure products have the required data and imagery to launch on time, working to resolve any issues as quickly as possible

Copywriting

• Develop high-quality, SEO-friendly content for various platforms, including website pages, product descriptions, blog posts, and marketing materials.
• Conduct keyword research and integrate relevant keywords naturally into the content to improve search engine rankings.
• Optimize alt texts for images to enhance accessibility and improve SEO.
• Implement internal linking strategies to connect related product pages, improving website structure and user navigation.
• Stay updated on SEO best practices and industry trends to continually optimize content for search engines.

• This role is in-house so you must be able to work in Peterborough daily
• Passion for ecommerce, homeware, and the Mrs. Alice brand
• Experience with UX or e-commerce platforms is preferred
• Strong Excel skills & ability to use & create formulas to manipulate large data sets 
• Demonstrated aptitude for technology, including understanding product data flows 
• Proven experience or passion as a Copywriter, Content Writer, or similar role, preferably within an ecommerce or digital marketing environment.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience in implementing SEO strategies.
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
