Industrial Automation Sector

We create solutions for our customers which enable smarter, safer, more productive and sustainable factories, production lines and warehouse operations. Our pneumatic and electric motion systems help machine builders and end users around the world automate and optimise manufacturing and warehousing processes.

Role Overview

For this newly created role, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of the websites within the Industrial Automation sector of IMI. As the Digital Product Owner, you will be responsible for the strategic vision, prioritisation, and delivery of features and functionality that drive value for our users and stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with internal and external teams including designers, developers, marketers, and stakeholders to ensure the websites meet business objectives and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy: develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the website, aligned with business goals and user needs.
Features and Backlog: prioritise features and enhancements based on business value, user feedback and market trends. Maintain a prioritised backlog of user strories and tasks.
with Stakeholders: work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and ensure alignment with the product vision.
Agile Development Process: lead the agile development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
Experience Optimisation: champion user-centric design principles and work with designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
Driven Decision Making: Utilise analytics and user feedback to make data-driven decisions, optimise features and measure the impact of changes.
Product Releases: Coordinate with the development team to plan and execute product releases, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption to users.
Performance and KPIs: Define KPIs and metrics to meausure the success of the websites. Monitor performance against atrgets and take corrective actions as needed.
Improvement: drive continuous improvement initiatives to ehance performance usability and effectiveness over time.

Critical Competencies for Success

Educated to degree level in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience as a Digital Product Owner or simialr role, prefereably in the development of websites or digital products.
Strong undersatnding of Agile methodologies and expereicne working in Agile teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for develivering exceptional user experiences.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics and make informed decisions.
Strong project manegmebnt skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), project management tools (e.g. JIRA) and collaboration tools (e.g. Slack, Microsoft Teams).
