TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client who are looking for Dilapidation Handyperson to support maintenance, and improvement works across East Midlands railway stations on a 6-month contract, paying £19 per hour (CIS).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on background who enjoys working independently, travelling between different sites and carrying out a variety of maintenance and dilapidation tasks. Key Responsibilities: Carry out general handyman, repair and dilapidation works across multiple railway stations. Complete minor carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering and making-good tasks. Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, fixtures, fittings and station furniture. Identify and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues. Keep platforms, walkways and public areas safe, clean and presentable. Support station refurbishment, closure and reopening works where required. Follow all railway safety procedures, rules and safe systems of work. Carry out planned, reactive and winterisation works as required.What we require? Practical and hands-on with experience in handyman, maintenance, construction, facilities, or a similar environment. Good attention to detail and pride in delivering a high standard of work. Able to work independently across multiple locations and manage tasks effectively. Reliable, punctual, and flexible, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when working around the public. Full clean driving licence essential due to travel between multiple stations.
