Dimensional Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading iron foundry to recruit a Dimensional Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established and highly reputable manufacturer that produces predominantly highly regulated industries.

You will oversee a small team responsible for the measurement function and play a key role in dimensional inspection, analysis, and customer liaison.

As the Dimensional Engineer you will be:

• Operating 3D structured light scanning equipment (GOM ATOS Q and ZEISS T SCAN HAWK 2)
• Analysing scan data and creating measurement projects using GOM/ZEISS Inspect software
• Completing ISIR packages to support production and new product introduction
• Designing gauges and overseeing their implementation
• Calibrating internal gauges and maintaining accurate records
• Acting as the main point of contact for any dimensional queries from customers and suppliers
• Troubleshooting issues with production components using a variety of inspection tools including 3DSL systems and CMM machines

To be considered for the Dimensional Engineer role you will need:

• Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience with dimensional analysis software (ZEISS/GOM) or similar
• A strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, part alignment principles, and coordinate system setup
• Experience working within automotive industry quality standards (ISO9001, IATF16949)
• CMM operation/programming experience (MCOSMOS software) – preferred
• CAD software knowledge, ideally Solidworks – preferred
• Knowledge of casting processes or 3D printing techniques – advantageous but not essential
