Director (Accountancy Practice)

I’m currently working with a well-established and reputable accountancy practice based in Central Brighton, who are seeking to add a Director to spearhead their growing team. This is a great opportunity for an ACCA/ACA-qualified accountant with RI status, ready to lead and support a growing team. Whether you’re a Senior Manager ready to make the next step, or an experienced Partner/Director looking for a fresh challenge this role could be suited for you.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Sign off on audits ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Oversee and contribute to various facets of accountancy including audit, general accounts, and tax.
• Lead and manage a team of 5-6 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Engage in strategic planning and decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain high standards of professional and ethical practice within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACCA/ACA qualification with RI status.
• Proven experience in audit, general accounts, and tax.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
