Director and Service Lead - Fire Engineering job in London, offering £110,000 - £130,000 plus a competitive bonus scheme. This opportunity suits an experienced Chartered Fire Engineer ready to establish and lead a new fire engineering department, covering existing buildings, refurbishment, remediation, new developments and higher-risk buildings, with Board-level support and responsibility for technical delivery, commercial strategy and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
Establish departmental strategy, business plans, budgets and recruitment.
Lead complex fire strategies, compliance advice and technical delivery.
Implement quality assurance, peer reviews and competency standards.
Manage fees, profitability, client relationships and business development.
Recruit, mentor and lead technical teams, reporting to senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
Chartered Fire Engineer (IFE); IFSM accreditation preferred.
At least 10 years of relevant fire engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
Experience with higher-risk buildings and Building Safety Regulator submissions.
Proven technical leadership, commercial development and client acquisition.
Strong reporting, communication and digital project management skills are essential, alongside experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex commissions.
