This is a leadership opportunity suited to an experienced professional or an Associate ready to step up into a senior role within a respected chartered surveying practice. The firm is known for delivering comprehensive building surveying and technical solutions across a diverse client base, including public and private sector clients, and operates from multiple offices across the UK. Director - Building Surveying Salary & Benefits Salary: £75,000 - £100,000 per annum (DOE) Performance-related bonus Competitive car allowance Opportunity for progression to Senior Director with potential for equity/shares Generous holiday entitlement + Bank Holidays Pension scheme and other employee benefits Support for professional development and continued chartered advancement Director - Building Surveying Job Overview Provide strategic leadership to the Building Surveying team in Manchester and contribute to UK-wide technical services growth. Lead and manage a varied portfolio of professional surveying assignments and complex client projects. Oversee delivery of high-quality surveying, reporting, contract administration, defect analysis, dilapidations, and other building consultancy services. Build and nurture client relationships, drive business development and secure new work streams. Mentor and develop team members, including associates and senior surveyors, ensuring standards of excellence and professional best practice. Act as a key representative of the business in the region, promoting the firm's expertise and brand. Director - Building Surveying Job Requirements MRICS qualified (essential) with strong professional credibility. Significant experience in building surveying or technical property consultancy, with demonstrable project leadership. Proven track record of managing complex assignments and client portfolios within a chartered practice. Excellent communication, commercial acumen, and people leadership capabilities. Experience in business development and client relationship management is highly desirable. Based in or willing to relocate to Manchester with strong regional market knowledge advantageous.
