Director of Compliance - Ethics and Controls - EMEA Regional Markets

My client is a global player in the manufacturing and distribution market - specialising in a variety of houselhold brands over 20 international markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting to the General Manager of the EMEA Regional Markets, ensuring that impenetrable controls, compliance and ethics become well established. An ability to continuously improve existing processes and the governance, compliance and controls framework are essential. You will have enviable foundation knowledge of EMEA or African Regional Markets and use this to establish yourself as the Compliance and Ethics Ambassador.

A strong background within the compliance and ethics arena and an extensive exposure to multi-market environments are crucial for my client, as is the ability to deliver a track record in risk management and control design or control operation. Proving your ability to develop a key compliance and ethics programme through organisation, team leadership and training, implementation of policies and procedures and effective communication.

A legal, compliance or accounting qualification would be considered preferable by my client, although not essential. Professional qualifications are of course essential. Experience of team and project management is essential and experience of policy development in related areas will be a prerequisite. This role will include a commitment to travel at around 30% so the right candidate must demonstrate a willingness to truly build a team using a hands-on approach.    

As an entirely new project, the successful candidate must show incredible levels of self motivation and be able to work independently in this new hub without a regional support service.
