Job Description - Director of Corporate Security & Resilience

As Director of Corporate Security & Resilience, you will own and drive a unified, company-wide security strategy that protects both our digital and physical assets. You’ll embed resilience across the organisation, ensuring we can operate confidently in an increasingly complex and evolving threat landscape.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role accountable for the end-to-end security and resilience strategy across OQC.
You will lead the integration of physical, cyber, and personnel security while ensuring robust business continuity and crisis response capabilities.
You’ll act as the central point of coordination across IT, HR, Legal, Finance, and Facilities translating security risks into clear business decisions at executive and board level.
What You'll Be Working On
Defining and executing a company-wide Security & Resilience strategy across physical, cyber, and operational domains
Leading cross-functional collaboration with IT, HR, Legal, Finance, and Facilities to embed security into business operations
Owning crisis and incident response for security breaches, business disruption, and geopolitical events
Establishing and governing business continuity frameworks, ensuring readiness across all teams
Setting and tracking OKRs/KPIs, managing budgets, and closing strategic gaps through targeted action plans
Reporting security posture, risks, and performance directly to executive leadership and the board
Business Continuity ownership in consolidating continuity plans from across all parts of the business, testing, improving and implementing when needed.
What We're Looking For
Proven senior leadership experience overseeing security, resilience, and business continuity functions
Expertise in converged security across physical security, cybersecurity, and insider risk
Strong experience in incident response and crisis management in high-stakes environments
Deep understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendors, and external security partners
Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risks into business impact
Strategic mindset with the ability to align security initiatives to business growth and operations
The 'Nice-to-Haves'
Experience in scale-up environments
Background working with or securing data centre environments
Familiarity with law enforcement or government security standards
Military or police background
Degree-level education (BSc/BA)
Experience in business process analysis or project management
