We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of English to lead our high-performing secondary academy in Thamesmead. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum development, staff performance, and student outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and Post-16.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development for English department
• Manage and support staff to achieve high performance
• Ensure student outcomes are consistently improving
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities
• Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven track record of raising achievement
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience in curriculum innovation and assessment strategies
• Commitment to continuous professional development
