Position Summary

As Director of Finance, you will be the strategic financial leader of St. Pancras London, partnering closely with the General Manager, Executive Committee, ownership and Marriott International to drive commercial performance, maximise profitability and enhance long-term asset value.

As a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, risk management and capital investment. Providing both strategic direction and operational leadership, you will leverage financial insight to influence decision-making, optimise performance and support the continued success of this iconic luxury destination.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute and influential finance leader with significant experience gained within large, complex and high-volume hotel operations. You will bring a strong blend of financial expertise, commercial acumen and leadership capability, along with the ability to build credibility and trusted partnerships across all levels of the business. This is a highly visible, on-site leadership role requiring close collaboration with operational teams, ownership representatives and key Marriott stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Significant senior finance leadership experience within a hotel environment, ideally as a Director of Finance, Financial Controller or in a comparable role


• Essential experience within a large, complex, multi-revenue-stream hotel operation, including rooms, food & beverage, events and leisure facilities


• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, supported by strong technical accounting expertise


• Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, capital planning and business performance analysis


• A proven ability to partner with General Managers, Executive Committees, ownership groups and corporate stakeholders to deliver commercial results


• Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimisation and operational efficiency


• Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insight


• Proven success in building, developing and leading high-performing teams


• Experience managing financial controls, compliance obligations and internal, external and regulatory audits


• A hands-on, visible leadership style with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement
