Job Description - Director of Monitoring Surveying
A respected independent property and construction consultancy is seeking a Director of Monitoring Surveying to join their London team and play a central role in the continued growth of their Monitoring Surveying & Due Diligence division. This is a senior strategic appointment for an established Director of Monitoring Surveying with a strong reputation across lender advisory, development monitoring and due diligence.
The successful Director of Monitoring Surveying will lead major commissions for institutional lenders, investors, developers and other key stakeholders, providing high-level advice across complex development projects. Alongside project delivery, the Director of Monitoring Surveying will take responsibility for strengthening senior client relationships, generating new instructions and supporting the commercial development of the service line.
Working closely with the existing divisional leadership, the Director of Monitoring Surveying will also help shape future strategy, mentor team members and provide senior leadership across the department. This opportunity would suit an ambitious Director of Monitoring Surveying who wants genuine influence over the direction, succession planning and long-term expansion of an established specialist team.
Director of Monitoring Surveying - Key Responsibilities:
Leading complex monitoring surveying and due diligence commissions
Advising lenders, investors and development stakeholders on project risk, progress and funding
Developing and maintaining relationships with senior institutional clients
Identifying new instructions and contributing to wider business development
Managing, mentoring and developing members of the monitoring team
Supporting divisional strategy, resource planning and future service growth
Acting as deputy to the existing divisional lead when required
Director of Monitoring Surveying - Candidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
MRICS qualification strongly preferred
Extensive UK monitoring surveying, lender advisory or development monitoring experience
Established market profile with strong relationships across lenders, investors or developers
Proven experience leading significant commissions independently
Strong commercial, leadership and business development capabilities
Detailed understanding of construction, procurement, development finance and project risk
In Return:
£95,000 - £110,000 per annum
