Director of Operations - Restaurants in Morocco

Job DescriptionSunset Hospitality Group is a leading multinational lifestyle hospitality group, with a wide portfolio encompassing Hotels & Resorts, Restaurants, Beach Clubs, Nightclubs, Fitness Centers, and more.SHG operates over 58 venues and with presence in 17 countries with a commitment to deliver authentic & diverse hospitality experiences that bring people together, all around the world.We are looking for a Director of Operations for Morocco with experience in fine dining restaurants who will direct and oversee the organization operational activities in our current and future projects in the area. The role will be based preferebly in Rabat and will travel when needed across the region.Main responsibilitiesMaintain and provide strength to company’s brand position in assigned regional marketing area.Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long term brand operational plansSet strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivityWork with Top Management in the development of financial and budgetary plansAnalyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessaryDevelop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiativesBuild and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goalsUphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followedWork closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environmentEstablishes operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete on-time delivery of a quality food product.Builds, develops and manages an operations team capable of carrying out needed operations and unit growth strategies in addition improving employee and guest relations.Ensure consistent food preparation and the highest caliber of food presentation. Provide input for menus-- creating, developing, and recommending recipes for the use of other staff—to create a consistent and quality food product.Actively coaches the team and promotes their professional development internally and through coordinated education programsPerform yearly managers performance appraisal and follow up on staff appraisalsWork closely with the purchasing department on any supply / vendor issues affecting operationsDevelop marketing plan in cooperation with Marketing Manager to promote operations business and ensure implementation.Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.QualificationsBA degree in Business Administration, or Hospitality Degree from a reputable university, or equivalent.7-10 years of experience in the field of hospitality in management levelExperience in fine dining restaurants at international levelAvailability to preferably be based in Rabat and willing to travel frequently as needed between our outlets in MoroccoFluent in English and French (arabic is a plus)Experience with budget and business plan developmentSuperior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee managementProven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivityExcellent communication and negotiation skillsExcellent computer skillsBenefitsCompetitive SalaryDiscounts Across Sunset's Venues and More: Experience the Sunset lifestyle to the fullest with exclusive discounts at all our venues and beyond.Growth Opportunities: Your professional journey is our priority.
