Supply Chain Operations Director - 12 month maternity cover

Leadership opportunity with fast-growing premium beauty brand. End-to-end experience, inclusive of warehouse & distribution. 12-month fixed-term contract.

Are you ready to spearhead the supply chain, warehousing, and logistics operations for a leading premium beauty brand and drive the company's growth plans forward? My client is seeking a proactive, passionate, and self-motivated individual to lead the operations, establish efficient business processes, and foster a culture of creativity and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Management:
   
   
   
   • Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials, packaging, and other supplies essential for product manufacturing.
   
   
   • Inventory Optimization: Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.
   
   
   • Supplier Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
   
   
   • Distribution: Ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of products from global warehouses to customers and consumers.
   
   
   • Logistics Optimization: Streamline logistics operations to reduce shipping costs and enhance performance.
   
   
   
   


2. Warehouse Management:
   
   
   
   • Develop and manage relationships with warehouse, distribution, and freight partners to ensure best-in-class service.
   
   
   
   


3. Performance Analysis:
   
   
   
   • Continuously analyze KPIs and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications:

• Global Warehousing Expertise: Proven experience managing global warehousing and distribution for CPG/FMCG businesses, including D2C, B2B, and global sea-freight.


• Service Improvement: Demonstrated ability to deliver service improvements and cost management initiatives.


• Demand Planning: Expertise in demand planning and S&OP processes.


• E-commerce Experience: Experience with e-commerce D2C service requirements, development, and implementation.


• ERP Proficiency: Previous experience working with Sage X3 preferred.


• Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to extract, manipulate, and present data from multiple sources.


• Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills to lead a diverse team effectively.
