The Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Executive, Legal Executive, or Solicitor to join the firm’s growing Dispute Resolution Department at their Newark office.
The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, and structured in their approach, with the ability to handle a broad civil litigation caseload and a proven track record of converting new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters.
Generating and converting new work through business development and client relationships.
Collaborating with the wider team to promote and grow the department in line with the firm's marketing strategy.
Ensuring accurate financial and timekeeping records, billing, and compliance with quality and risk procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver a high-quality service to both new and existing clients.
Drive business development and cross-referral opportunities across departments.
Meet fee income targets and objectives.
Keep up to date with relevant legal developments and training.
Maintain financial control and billing discipline.
Ensure all client work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Person SpecificationEssential:
Qualified Litigation Executive, Legal Executive, or Solicitor
Experience managing a civil litigation caseload
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Professional, proactive, and client-focused
Desirable:
Experience using case management systems (e.g., SOS Connect)
Familiarity with legal or HR software such as CIPHR
