Job Description
We are looking for a driven Distribution Centre Assistant Manager (DCAM) to join our newly established DC, set to open in September 2024. As a DCAM, you will be key to maintaining the seamless functioning of our warehouse and distribution activities.

About the RoleEnsuring accurate intake, receipt and shipment of goods to and from customers, stores and suppliersEnsuring daily throughput efficiency via pick/pack/dispatch of goods to customer and retailClear communication with staff and DCMControl of stock accuracy, the security of the DC and its contentsEnsuring systems are functional and maintained,
reporting/rectifying
and issues within the DC workstream

in the absence of the DCMMust be able to understand all job roles in detail to perform in the stead of any role reporting to them.Assist the DCM in the leadership of all reportable staffImplement deliverables in regard to the training and development of staff as directed by the DCMAssist in the management of holidays, sickness, appraisals, engagement, disciplinary procedures and recruitmentMonitor staff timekeeping and working rota to ensure smooth running of the DC
About You2+ Years in Warehousing / E-Commerce Fulfilment / LogisticsProven people management
experienceMicrosoft
Software;
Excel/Word/Teams/PowerPoint/D365/OutlookAbility
to troubleshoot any technical or physical issuesComfortable in a high paced environmentMust be flexible and comfortable with seasonal peaks due to work volume, hours/shifts, uptake in staffing volumesBe able to commit to peak periods where holiday is unavailable for four weeks twice a year. This is mid December to mid January and mid June to mid July.
