About the role

This is a crucial role in driving the company’s growth and success within the UK/IE. You will be looking after MUBI’s robust theatrical slate in these territories, leading a performance-driven team and responsible for driving box office success, maintaining key exhibitor partnerships, and expanding the organisation’s reach within the local industry. You will ensure that there is a smooth workflow across Distribution in order to optimise and deliver against our performance targets.

Where you'll have impact:

• Strategy and execution of MUBI’s Theatrical film slate across the UK/IE to deliver box office targets and high quality campaigns.

• Leading the theatrical sales team on a daily basis and working in close collaboration with Marketing, Communications and Operations teams.

• Overseeing local exhibitor relationships to secure the best theatrical terms.

• Working alongside the Director of Distribution, EMEA on strategy, box office projections and long-term infrastructure for the department.

• Working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure that recoupment is handled in a timely fashion.

• Representing MUBI at local and national industry events and conferences.

What you'll bring:

• Strong commercial knowledge, understanding and experience within UK/IE Distribution including box office trends and audience demographics.

• Significant experience (ideally a minimum of 5 years) within a theatrical sales environment, with a proven track record of box office accomplishment.

• Strong management and communication skills along with the ability to lead and work cross-functionally across Distribution departments to coordinate timelines.

• A goal-orientated mindset with a strong eye for detail, familiarity with handling budgets and the ability to forecast and model box office scenarios.

• An enthusiastic and passionate attitude with a positive and collaborative approach.

• Confidence in working with team members of varying levels of seniority.

• The ability to work and thrive under pressure.

• A strong negotiator and problem solver.
