Distribution Supervisor

Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 | Friday 09:00–15:00
Location: Kidderminster, DY11 7RA

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Distribution Supervisor to join a busy warehouse and despatch operation.

This is a hands-on role responsible for transport planning, driver supervision, delivery coordination and fleet compliance. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, Sales and other departments to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and coordinate company transport and external carriers.

* Supervise drivers and support warehouse operations.

* Monitor delivery performance and achieve 95% OTIF.

* Ensure compliance with drivers’ hours, transport legislation and company procedures.

* Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet availability.

* Maintain transport records and produce KPI reports.

* Support and maintain FORS Silver accreditation.

* Investigate vehicle incidents and service failures.

* Promote a safe working environment and ensure drivers and vehicles remain compliant.

About You

* Previous transport and warehouse experience is essential.

* Strong transport planning and organisational skills.

* Good knowledge of transport legislation and drivers’ hours.

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* Experience with Microsoft Office and WMS systems.

* Valid UK driving licence required; HGV licence desirable.
