Job Scope:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Divisional Business Manager to join their Education Division, supporting a national network of specialist education services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and highly organised Divisional Business Manager who enjoys working with financial data, operational performance, and strategic projects. The successful Divisional Business Manager will work closely with senior leaders to drive business performance, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across multiple education settings.
Working directly with the Divisional Director and senior leadership team, the Divisional Business Manager will provide financial insight, operational analysis, project coordination, and leadership support while building strong relationships with school leaders, regional teams, and central support functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the Divisional Director to support strategic planning, operational performance, and business reviews
* Analyse financial performance, budgets, occupancy, admissions, fee income, and key performance indicators across the division
* Produce accurate management reports and performance dashboards to support informed decision-making
* Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement
* Support Headteachers, Principals, Business Managers, and Regional Directors through regular financial and operational review meetings
* Work collaboratively with Finance, Business Development, HR, and central support teams to ensure accurate reporting and effective business planning
* Coordinate divisional projects, monitor progress, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives
* Develop and improve operational systems, reporting processes, and performance monitoring tools
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple education services
* Lead, coach, and support Business Managers across the division, promoting high performance and continuous improvement
* Take direct management responsibility for the organisation's online education provision, Support effective communication and collaboration across the wider Education Division
About You
* Bachelor's degree or Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline
* Previous experience in a Business Manager, Divisional Business Manager, Operations Manager, or similar business support leadership role
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis, excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across senior leadership teams
* Experience working across multiple sites or business units
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, professional, commercially aware, and committed to continuous improvement
