Job Description - Divisional Director - Building Surveying
Your new company A leading independent construction consultancy is seeking a Divisional Director to join its established Building Surveying team. Based in Essex, the position offers the chance to play a key role in the continued growth and success of a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy. As Divisional Director, you will take on the senior leadership position within the Building Surveying team, combining technical expertise, client relationship management, team development and delivery of high-profile projects. You will lead and be involved in a wide variety of projects including leisure, listed buildings and heritage, education, retail, hospitality and regeneration.
Your new role As the Divisional Director, you will lead and manage complex building surveying projects from inception through to completion. This will include providing technical leadership and guidance to surveyors and support staff, managing project fees, and commercial performance. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients whilst securing new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing team members, undertaking staff appraisals, recruitment and performance development activities.
What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful for this role, you should be an MRICS Building Surveyor operating at a leadership level and be competent delivering a variety of project types. Experience of leading and developing teams is preferred. You should have strong commercial awareness with experience managing fees, budgets and client relationships. A driving licence is required for this role.
