Document Controller - Dorchester We are seeking to speak with a detail-oriented Document Controller to join the project team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring information is well-organised, accessible, and securely stored. You will work closely with various departments to uphold quality standards and promote efficient document control processes.
As a leading UK regional contractor, they deliver specialist design and build capabilities, supporting the nation's vital services and infrastructure. Their work spans a wide range of construction projects, including schools, hospitals, roads, and water facilities and manage projects from inception through to completion, integrating all aspects of design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and control all project document flow, ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible.
Liaise with project teams to ensure understanding and compliance with document control procedures and CDE system processes.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate information management.
Support design and project managers by identifying documentation issues and providing updates.
Provide expertise and guidance on common data environment software to project teams and subcontractors.
Ensure documents are archived efficiently for easy access and reference.
Assist with project documentation management and distribution.
Maintain the document control system and prepare ad-hoc project reports as required.
Provide general administrative support.
About You:
Strong administrative skills with experience in document control.
Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Knowledge of document management processes and systems (e.g., ASITE, BIW, 4projects) is desirable.
Understanding of BIM principles is a plus.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications in IT or Administration (e.g., NVQ, GCSEs/A-Levels).
