Position: Document Controller

Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

Take the lead on document control for major construction projects with a Tier 1 contractor.

An established main contractor with a strong North West presence is looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to join their Manchester team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of document systems across high-value schemes, working closely with project and design teams.

The Role

You will take ownership of the document control process across one or more projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and manage document control systems across projects

* Control the flow of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

* Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and company standards

* Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors

* Maintain document registers and audit trails

* Support and guide junior team members where required

The Candidate

This role is suited to an experienced Document Controller looking to work within a Tier 1 environment on major schemes.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction (main contractor preferred)

* Strong knowledge of document control systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, 4Projects)

* Solid understanding of ISO 19650

* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
