Document Controller / Office Clerk – Civil Engineering

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor who is looking to appoint a Document Controller / Office Clerk to support a busy infrastructure project based in Ferrybridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous civil engineering or construction administration experience to join a fantastic team, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager, Engineers and Site Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurately controlled, maintained and distributed throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining project document control systems, including SharePoint and the client's Fieldview platform.

Uploading Health & Safety documentation and ensuring client submissions are completed weekly.

Recording and distributing meeting minutes.

Supporting Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams with document management and retrieval.

Assisting with project close-out documentation and handover packs.

Collating information from the supply chain to produce comprehensive Operations & Maintenance Manuals.

Ensuring project documentation is accurate, up to date and compliant.

About You

Previous experience as a Document Controller, Office Clerk or Project Administrator within construction or civil engineering.

Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Knowledge of document control systems and procedures.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of civil engineering documentation would be highly advantageous.
