ALTEN UK is hiring a Document Controller to support our consultants working on a major Defence programme. You’ll be responsible for managing and controlling project documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and leading a small team of junior document controllers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing document registers, version control, and compliance with ISO 9001.
• Using EDMS systems (SharePoint, Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, Documentum).
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to maintain document flow.
• Supporting audits and ensuring all documentation meets quality requirements.
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior document controllers in the team.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a Document Controller in defence, aerospace, or engineering projects.
• Strong background with EDMS tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality frameworks.
• Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior staff desirable.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance
