Domestic Cleaner

We are now hiring for Domestic Assistants to work day shifts in care homes in the Brighton region.

This is a flexible position for reliable, hard-working individuals who take delight in keeping places clean, safe and friendly for residents, visitors and staff.

Role Overview

As a domestic assistant, you will help with the daily cleanliness and hygiene of the care home. You will work closely with the wider care team and adhere to all infection control, health and safety and safeguarding procedures.

Clean resident rooms, common areas, restrooms and staff areas
Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and other cleaning activities.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Follow infection control and prevention practices
Use your cleaning materials and equipment safely
Proper and safe disposal of waste
Report any risks, damage or concerns to the correct person
Respect resident dignity, privacy and confidentiality
Work professionally and politely with residents and care staff
Follow care home policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:

The applicant should have:

DBS enhancement recorded on the Update Service or readiness to receive one
Mandatory training up to date & relevant to working in care settings
A cheerful, compassionate and professional attitude
Good attention to detail.
The capacity to follow directions and work safely
Reliability, promptness and flexibility
Can operate both solo and as part of a team

Previous domestic, cleaning, healthcare or care home experience would be an advantage but the appropriate attitude and desire to learn are equally crucial.
