The Role
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
You will build trusting relationships with the people you support and provide practical assistance with their day-to-day needs, while encouraging independence wherever possible.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing compassionate care and support within service users’ own homes Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities Assisting with washing, dressing and personal hygiene Supporting mobility and maintaining independence Providing support with meals, hydration and nutrition Offering companionship and emotional support Supporting individuals to access the local community where required Encouraging service users to remain active and independent Following individual care plans and risk assessments Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or wellbeing Maintaining accurate and confidential care records Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals Promoting dignity, choice, privacy and respect at all times About You
We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting people to live independently in their own homes.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care setting A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care A caring, patient and respectful approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with service users Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational and time-management skills Reliable and professional approach to work Willingness to undertake training and develop your skills Commitment to promoting dignity, independence and choice Benefits & Perks
