Door Engineer

A leading European-wide manufacturer of loading bays, dock levellers, and industrial access solutions is seeking a skilled Industrial Door Engineer to join their expanding service team, covering the Reditich, Kidderminster and Worcester areas.

Role Overview:

As an Industrial Door Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of industrial doors, loading bay systems, and associated equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and fully operational for our clients across logistics, manufacturing, and distribution sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial doors, dock levellers, and loading bay systems.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out repairs to minimise downtime.

• Provide both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service support.

• Attend emergency call-outs on a rota basis (1 week in 5).

• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.

• Maintain clear and accurate job records and documentation using company systems.

• Deliver excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional manner.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as an Industrial Door Engineer or in a similar field (loading bays, dock levellers, shutters, or access systems).

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

• Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (advantageous).

• Full UK driving licence.

• Flexibility to participate in the call-out rota and occasional overtime.

• Excellent problem-solving ability and customer service skills.
