Downstream Processing Scientist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Downstream Processing Scientist to join a company in the animal health and pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months. This role is fully site-based in Speke, Merseyside.

Salary:
From £15.38 to £20.51 ph PAYE
Rates are dependant upon experience

Downstream Processing Scientist Role:

Plan and execute laboratory and pilot-scale studies through hands-on experimentation.
Deliver downstream purification processes to support clinical programs and business milestones.
Utilise statistical tools to design, analyse, and interpret complex data sets.
Provide technical and operational expertise in downstream processing.
Support the maintenance and readiness of downstream laboratory equipment.Your Background:

Hold a relevant scientific degree, or have equivalent working experience. 
Some previous experience in biopharmaceutical downstream development or manufacturing.
Familiarity with a range of techiques/sytems such as the following would be an advantage: 
FPLC Chromatography (AKTA systems with Unicorn Software)
Familiarity with GxP Standards.
