Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a market-leading manufacturing business to help them recruit a CAD Technician to join their site in Sheffield.

Our client design and manufacturer specialist safety equiepment for customers worldwide.

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the Draftsperson will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and CAD models with a focus on fabrication and sheet-metal. This role will provide opportunity for training, progression and development.

Responsibilities of the CAD Technician will include

• Produce engineering drawings in SolidWorks and 2D AutoCAD
• Support the creation of BOMs
• Create/check and amend drawings/specifications
• Complete technical checks before going to Production
• Help Design Engineers create new product drawings
• Help tech support and training teams deliver technical information
• Contribute to developing technical drawing and design resources for customers
• Support improvements to the quality of technical design resources in customer communications

We would be keen to speak with CAD Technicians with the following skills and experience:

• Qualified in an Engineering field
• Apprenticeship trained Engineering
• Experience with sheet-metal and fabrication
• Industry experience in using CAD/Drive works/SolidWorks
• Thorough capability of preparation, review and redrafting
