Drainage Engineer

My client, a sustainable, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts near the beautiful town of Reading, in the South-East of England.

Essential Criteria:

- A Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field

- Demonstrable experience of working with Drainage Strategies, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), etc.

- Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections

- Good working knowledge of Section Agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills:

- An understanding of Tuflow

- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows software systems (including Excel, Word, etc.)

- Excellent time management skills

In the diverse role of Drainage Engineer, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations

- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other relevant Section Agreements

- Liaising with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
