Experienced Drainage Engineer looking for a better opportunity in London?
This could be the move you've been waiting for.
We're working with an established facilities management business responsible for 800+ commercial sites across London and the M25.
With projects already underway and further growth expected, they're looking for experienced Drainage Engineers to join their growing engineering team.
The Job
You'll be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned drainage maintenance across a wide range of commercial environments.
You'll attend breakdowns, diagnose issues and carry out repairs, maintenance, replacements and installation works.
Sites include:
* Commercial office developments
* NHS hospitals
* Care homes
* Large residential developments
* Other commercial properties
This is a genuinely varied role, with engineers trusted to get to site, diagnose the problem and get the job sorted.
The Package
* £40,000 – £65,000 salary, depending on experience
* Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
* Overtime available
* Weekend overtime paid at 1.5x
* 1 in 3 callout rota
* £100 standby payment
* Door-to-door paid on callouts
* Travel paid after the first hour each way
* VW Transporter company van
* Fuel card
* Full company tools
* Company mobile phone
* 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays
* Monthly performance-based bonus/incentive
* 3-month probation
* Training and development
* Long-term progression opportunities
What You Need
We're looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer with a strong background in commercial environments.
You'll ideally have:
* Commercial drainage experience
* Strong reactive maintenance experience
* Good fault-finding ability
* Experience with repairs and maintenance
* Confined Space certification
* Full UK driving licence
Don't currently have an in-date Confined Space certificate?
That's not necessarily a deal-breaker. If your certification has expired, the company can look at supporting you with renewal after your probation period.
Why This Role?
The biggest difference here is the variety and scale of the work.
You're not going to be stuck doing the same job on the same site every day. You'll work across a substantial commercial estate, dealing with different challenges and environments while having the backing of an established FM operation.
You've got the van, fuel card, tools, phone, overtime and bonus structure — everything you need to get on with the job.
And if you're experienced enough to justify the upper end of the salary range, they're prepared to pay for that experience.
