We are looking to recruit an experienced Drainage Operations Manager to take full responsibility for a busy drainage division.
This is a key leadership role within the business. Drainage plays a central role and supports a number of services including damp, roofing, pest control, plumbing, leak detection, and restoration.
You will be managing an established team of around 13 staff, with the objective of growing and strengthening the division over the next 12 months.
We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, build a team, improve systems, and play a major role in the continued growth of the business.
What We're Looking For
Based within 1 hour of Fulham (SW6) Full UK driving licence At least 5 years' experience managing drainage operations or similar field-based teams Strong technical knowledge of: CCTV surveys Jetting and lining Excavations and repairs Surface water systems and rainwater goods Experience handling reactive works and emergency callouts Strong leadership and communication skills Commercial awareness - able to manage costs, margins, and productivity Good understanding of health & safety standards Experience using CRM/job management systems Strong organisational and project management skillsWe're looking for someone who is reliable, driven, professional, and confident leading a team while maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Oversee day-to-day drainage operations Ensure all jobs are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard Manage engineers, supervisors, and office support staff
Team Development
Lead and support the team to perform at their best Improve training, standards, and accountability Help grow the team through recruitment and retention
Workflow & Systems
Ensure all work follows company processes and is tracked correctly Maintain accurate records and reporting Make sure emergency and reactive jobs are handled efficiently
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with other departments including damp, roofing, and pest control Ensure jobs are coordinated properly across divisions Support identifying issues that link to drainage problems
Commercial Management
Manage budgets, labour efficiency, and job profitability Improve performance through better planning and reduced rework Monitor KPIs such as productivity, margins, and completion rates
Quality, Compliance & Safety
Maintain high standards across all work Ensure health & safety procedures are followed Oversee job sign-offs, reporting, and documentation
About the Business
This is a London-based property services operation delivering a range of services including drainage, damp, roofing, pest control, and restoration.
The different service areas work closely together, as many property issues are interconnected, with drainage often playing a key role in identifying and resolving problems.
