Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start)

A diverse Mixed School in Ealing is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher to join our Performing Arts department. We are looking for an educator who can ignite a passion for theatre in our students and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of dramatic arts.

  About the Role:
  
  
  • Deliver engaging and challenging Drama and Theatre Studies lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level, covering areas such as acting techniques, theatre history, script analysis, and stagecraft.
  
  
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage practical exploration, critical analysis, and creative expression, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of diverse theatrical styles and practitioners.
  
  
  • Direct and produce school plays, theatre productions, and performance projects, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and develop their performance skills.
  
  
  • Assess student progress through practical performances, written evaluations, and presentations, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
  
  
  • Organize and facilitate theatre workshops, visits to professional theatre productions, and guest lectures from theatre professionals, enriching students' understanding of the theatre industry.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Ideal Candidate:
  
  
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama and Theatre Studies or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic background and extensive experience in theatre practice.
  
  
  • Extensive experience directing and producing theatre productions, with a proven track record of successful performances.
  
  
  • Strong knowledge of acting techniques, theatre history, script analysis, and stagecraft.
  
  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  
  
  • A passion for theatre education and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression.
