Salary: £140 - £180 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)

Astro Education is recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme seeking an enthusiastic and talented Drama & Dance Teacher to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop creativity, confidence, performance skills, and a love of the performing arts.

The Role

As a Drama & Dance Teacher, you will:

* Plan and deliver engaging Drama and Dance lessons across KS3 and KS4

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

* Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students

* Assess, monitor, and support student progress

* Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities where appropriate

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

* Experience teaching Drama and/or Dance at secondary level

* Strong classroom management skills

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities

* A genuine passion for performing arts education

* The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities
